Residence permit in Ukraine based on employment

A residence permit is an official permission for a foreigner to stay in the country for more than the 180 days required by the visa. How can a foreigner get a job in Ukraine?

No foreigner has the right to work on the territory of a state of which he is not a citizen, without a work permit (with the exception of those who have received a permanent residence permit in Ukraine).

In order to receive such a document, a foreigner should upon arrival submit the following documents to the territorial employment center:

• a statement of the stipulated sample;
• confirmation in writing that the proposed work does not involve access to state secrets;
• 2 photographs of standard document format;
• duly certified diploma;
• a copy of the translation of the passport, certified by a notary;
• certificate of no criminal record of a foreigner;
• medical certificate of health status.

After you submit all the necessary papers within the established time frame, the Employment Center Commission will review them and make an appropriate decision.

If the result of your question is positive, the employer must pay the necessary state fee for obtaining a permit within a month. Otherwise, this document will be cancelled.

After completing this lengthy procedure, you will receive the right to work in Ukraine.
